Prior to forming Strategies & Ventures LTD, Charlotte W. Dupré served in the capacities of CEO, COO, Executive Director, and Administrator for a range of healthcare organizations across America including corporate for-profit; private for-profit as well as in administrative roles in two University Medical Centers: Tulane University Medical Center and Duke University Medical Center. Her experience in top leadership positions covered ground-up development of new hospitals including construction planning and operations through service and market share development. Her career roles included emphasis on financial viability, market analysis, physicians and employee relations and community involvement among others.
Dupré is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a major in Business Education and a minor in Journalism. Dupré also holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. Her ongoing education spans a broad range of fields including Sales Management, Cost Accounting and Profit-Analysis, Leadership Development and Performance, Decision Making, Profit Line Profitability, Physician Development, Marketing, EEO processes, and Quality Improvement Training. She served as a National Presenter on Managing Product Lines for Success as part of an IBM National Conference and has received numerous accolades and recognitions both inside and out of the Healthcare field.
Early in her career, Dupré was recognized for her outstanding performance – earning recognition as “Outstanding Teacher of the Year” at Abbeville High School, Abbeville, Louisiana in her very first employment position; and, after moving to Wichita, Kansas for her husband’s military career, she received the honor of being named “Outstanding Young Woman of the Year” by Amigos de SER and the Wichita, Kansas Public School System. Dupré also served as Assistant Director of Human Resources at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans over a three year span and served as Human Resource Director with Lifemark Corporation at Highland Park Hospital.
Dupré is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, (ACHE), and the Healthcare Financial Management Association, (HFMA). During her final CEO term, Dupré was selected as one of the Top Fifty Women in Mississippi Business, and was named as one of thirty-eight “Mississippi’s Health Care Heroes” after receiving a range of nominations from both medical providers and community leaders. One of those nominating Dupré was Dr. Clyde Muse, President of Hinds Community College. Muse wrote “She has a heart for not only the hospital employees, but especially for the patients.” He added, “Charlotte is, at the same time, a good business person who makes wise decisions.” Dupré has also served on numerous local, state and regional boards.
Her career reflects her efforts to help develop or "turn-around" organizations and businesses from both a service and financial standpoint with emphasis on strategies, positive cash flow initiatives and hardwiring processes to assure high quality. She has extensive experience and training in the development and mentoring of high performing teams in all levels of operations and management.
